Take your running to the next level with the RunSedona Superior Training Program FREE to all registered Half Marathon participants. Our free training program is designed for beginners to help you become a stronger and faster runner. The training plan comes with coaching tips, coaching videos and pre and post run exercise videos.

*Please note that the RunSedona Superior Training is only available to runners who have registered for the February 1, 2025 RunSedona Half Marathon races. REGISTERED ATHLETES WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL WITH INSTRUCTIONS.

beginner and intermediate Training Plans:

The Half Marathon training plan STARTS OCTOBER 14, 2024 and is 16-weeks in length. The plan is designed for new racers who have general running experience and are able to run, walk, or a mix of both for 3-4 days per week. The plan is flexible allowing you to subtract or add training days to meet each runner's needs along the way.

Looking for more? Seasoned racers can MEET THE COACH and see the additional plans that Leah has on offer. First time racer or seasoned veteran, we invite you to train with us on the V.O2 app!

The RunSedona Superior Training 5-Week Boost will begin DECEMBER 29, 2024 and provide you with fundamental training, tips, and resources to kick start your New Years goals and enhance your race day experience. Workouts have built-in flexibility to meet you where you are at and allow you to increase or decrease as needed. 

All training plans include:

  • Weekly easy runs, long runs and workouts with paces specific to you

  • Routines for pre and post run

  • Detailed Coaching Tips on form, nutrition, hydration, and more!

  • Ability to add notes to track your progress

  • Access to V.O2 App & Calendar

  • Workouts sync to Garmin and Coros Watches

FAQs

  • All RunSedona courses are on asphalt roads.

  • YES! Pacers will be available at the for the Half Marathon, matching various paces per mile. Pacers will be easily recognizable by their special singlets and will carry a pace stick sign displaying their specific time.

    No advance sign-up is needed to join a pace group. On race day, simply choose the pace you want to follow, find the corresponding pace signs in the start corral, and join that team to start your race!

  • Sorry but dogs are not allowed to run any of the events at RunSedona.

    However we strongly support and pawsitively love our pooches! Please consider making a donation when you register to the Humane Society of Sedona.

  • There are three (5) Aid Stations on the Half Marathon course. They are located at MILE 1, MILE 2.8, MILE 6, MILE 10.5 and MILE 12.
